Getting fully vaccinated definitely has its perks amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a new guideline for those who have been fully vaccinated, saying they no longer need to quarantine if they get exposed to the virus.

But just receiving the second dose of the vaccine doesn't put you in the clear just yet, as certain criteria must be met before a vaccinated person should decide to not quarantine when exposed to COVID-19.

According to the CDC, a vaccinated person can avoid quarantine after exposure if they are fully vaccinated, are within three months of having received the second vaccine dose, and have remained asymptomatic since the current COVID-19 exposure.

The CDC also still recommends fully vaccinated people continue to practice safety precautions such as mask-wearing, social distancing, and avoiding large crowds.
