“The only way to access safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines is through clinics organized or endorsed by your local public health authority in collaboration with Canada's federal, provincial and territorial governments,” the notice explained.

Health Canada went on to say that any COVID-19 vaccines sold on the internet or from “unauthorized sources” will be counterfeit and therefore could pose serious dangers and health risks.

They’ll also be totally ineffective at protecting somebody from the illness.

The government says selling fake drugs or vaccines is a “criminal activity that poses serious risks to the health and safety of Canadians.”

The statement went on to assure the public that the issue is being taken very seriously, noting that Health Canada will “not hesitate to use all tools at its disposal to stop these illegal activities.”
