The guilty pleasure reality TV show from ABC, The Bachelor and it's spinoffs, The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise and Bachelor Winter Games have won the hearts of millions of North Americans on Monday nights.
Although it is an American show, they have been known to choose several Canadian contestants and even to star as The Bachelorette. There have even been two Canadian Bachelorettes, Kaitlyn Bristowe (season 11) and Jillian Harris (season 5).
So if you're a die-hard Bach fan and curious where the stars are now, we're here to fulfill your curiosity. Spoiler: not surprisingly, many have gone onto become Insta stars/influencers or start their own podcasts–which let's be real, is pretty much a Bach series rite of passage.
Kevin Wendt // @kevin.c.wendt
Canadian firefighter Kevin first came onto the Bach scene in 2016 through the first season of The Bachelorette Canada, which was the Canadian version of the series. He won and ended up engaged to Jasmine Lorimer, but their engagement lasted only five months. He then went on the Bachelor Winter Games and ended up dating the Bachelor contestant known best for her tears, Ashley Iaconetti but their relationship ended when she broke up with him and started dating long-time Bachelor in Paradise crush Jared Haibon.
After getting his heart broken, Kevin went on Bachelor in Paradise this past summer and was a fan favourite. Not to mention, he was part of the cutest couple on the season. He found love with Astrid Loch, from Nick Viall's season, on BIP and Bach fans are currently obsessed with the two. He is back living in Toronto and doing long distance with Astrid, who has said that she has plans to move to the city to be with him.
Kaitlyn Bristowe // @kaitlynbristowe
Kaitlyn first went on Chris Soules season of The Bachelor and got sent home after the fantasy suites. She then became the Bachelorette for season 11 in 2015 and got engaged to finalist Shawn Booth. Since the show wrapped three years ago, the two remain engaged and joke on Instagram that they have "the longest engagement ever".
She was from Vancouver but moved down south to Nashville, Tennesse to live with her beau. She still visits Vancouver and has done several initiatives since The Bachelorette, such as her own podcast Off The Vine and a scrunchie line called Dew.
Vanessa Grimaldi // @vanessagrimaldi30
Vanessa won the heart of Nick Viall in The Bachelor, and the couple ended up getting engaged in the finale. Their love did not last though, and the Montreal native and Viall broke up only a few months after the show wrapped. Nowadays, she is doing what all past Bachelor contestants do best–Instagram and podcasts.
She has several #ads in her Instagram posts and has started her own podcast with other past Bachelor contestants, Jared Haibon and Dean Unglert, called Help! I Suck at Dating. She also founded a charity called No Better You, which according to their Instagram, "aims to advance education by providing specialized tools and programs for exceptional learners". Her and Viall have not reunited since their breakup and she is not known to be dating anyone currently.
Jasmine Lorimer // @jasmine.lorimer
Jasmine was the first ever Bachelorette Canada in 2016 and has been making your Instagram jealous with all her amazing travel shots and PNW style pics ever since. She got engaged to Kevin Wendt during the show but their relationship ended five months after the season wrapped, citing distance and differences as the reason for their breakup.
Jasmine is now splitting her time living in Vancouver and Whistler, BC and continues to build an Instagram that is so on point. She was known to be working as a hairstylist at Brush Salon in Vancouver. She dated someone else for 8 months after her breakup with Kevin but is not known to be dating anyone seriously right now. Benoit Beauséjour-Savard // @benoitbeausejour
Benoit Beauséjour-Savard entered the Bachelor world back in 2016 on Jasmine Lorimer's season of the Bachelorette Canada. Like fellow contestant Kevin Wendt, he also went on to The Bachelor Winter Games and ended up finding love with Claire Crawley, from Juan Pablo's season of The Bachelor. They ended up getting engaged but the relationship was short-lasted and has since ended.
He went onto Bachelor In Paradise this past summer but unfortunately did not find lasting romantic connections on the show. He continues to live and work in Montreal now and is not known to be dating anyone at the moment.
