Jagmeet Singh Is Celebrating The 'Historic' Moment Kamala Harris Got Sworn-In

As President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris got formally sworn-in on January 20, Jagmeet Singh took to Twitter to share a hopeful message.
Congratulating Harris first, the Canadian NDP leader acknowledged that she would be “the first woman and woman of colour to become Vice President of the United States of America.”

He continued, “An entire generation of women will reimagine what is possible in ways they have never before.”
Moments later, Singh took the time to share well-wishes with Joe Biden, too.
“Today marks an official end to the hate and division of the last 4 years,” wrote the party leader.
He went on to describe Biden’s presidency as “an opportunity to build a more inclusive and compassionate nation and world.”
Singh isn’t the only famous face to send kind words to the new American leaders.
Barack Obama shared the sweetest photo to celebrate Biden’s inauguration, while Kamala Harris’ Canadian school honoured her with a special video.
On the other hand, 18-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg totally roasted Donald Trump on his last day in the White House.
