President-Elect Joe Biden wants to make some changes straight away when he gets into the White House.

A new report from CBC News has revealed that in his first hours as president, Biden plans to take executive action to reverse a number of Trump’s policies.

This includes ending restrictions on U.S. immigration from Muslim-majority countries, beginning the process of rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement and mandating mask-wearing on federal property and during interstate travel.

Biden also wants to continue halting student loan payments and extend the actions that are preventing evictions and foreclosures during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement, Biden’s incoming chief of staff said, “These executive actions will deliver relief to the millions of Americans that are struggling in the face of these crises."

"President-elect Biden will take action — not just to reverse the gravest damages of the Trump administration, but also to start moving our country forward," added the notice.

Biden’s inauguration is set for January 20, although incumbent President Donald Trump said he will not be in attendance.

Following riots in Washington D.C. earlier this month, Trump has issued a state of emergency ahead of Biden’s takeover.
