Biden Just Promised To Tackle Climate Change On His First Day In The White House
Joe Biden has made it clear that America’s climate change policies will be one of his first priorities when he gets into the White House.
Tweeting over the weekend, the president-elect confirmed that his administration would be rejoining the Paris Agreement “on day one.”

In the same tweet, Biden also announced his plans to “put America back in the business of leading the world on climate change.”
In another message shortly after, he reiterated his team’s commitment to tackling the “existential threat of climate change.”
Acknowledging that “we have no time to lose,” the president-to-be confirmed that he would be ready from the outset to get started.
That wasn’t all, either.
Biden also committed to achieving a carbon-pollution free electricity sector by 2035, a move which he said would be “a path that no future president can turn back.”
During Donald Trump’s presidency, the U.S. became the first nation in the world to formally withdraw from the Paris Agreement.
The agreement was drafted back in 2015 as part of an international response to climate change.
