The island will be covered in over half a million lights.

Jekyll Island in Georgia is about to transform into the brightest isle on the coast.

The popular beach destination isn't just a summertime getaway. During the holidays, it becomes a festive Christmas wonderland.

Holly Jolly Jekyll season begins November 27 and the island will be covered with over half a million twinkling lights.

The island-wide light show can be explored by visitors in two ways — either a self-guided driving tour or a ride around town in an open-air trolley.

The historic oak trees will be garnished with thousands of glowing bulbs that lead the way through the beautiful coastal town.

Visitors can stop by Peppermint Land to play miniature golf surrounded by life-size gumdrops, peppermint sticks, and gingerbread men.

The island is also home to a drive-in movie theatre that will be showing the holiday classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer to get you in the Christmas spirit.

Jekyll Island was even named one of the Top Holiday Road Trip Destinations in 2020, so pack your car and hit the road to see this gorgeous island all decked out for the season.
