Justin Trudeau's Age Actually Makes Him Canada's Second Oldest Major Federal Party Leader

He's turning 50 this year!

When he was first vying to be prime minister, Justin Trudeau might've been considered too young for the job, but now he's the second-oldest major federal party leader in Canada.

Trudeau was born on December 25, 1971, which means that he'll turn 50 at the end of this year.

In comparison, Jagmeet Singh is 42 years old and was born on January 2, 1979.

Conservative leader Erin O'Toole was born on January 22, 1973, which makes him 48 years old.

Annamie Paul, leader of the Green Party, will turn 49 years old on November 3 of this year.

The only major federal party leader who's older than Trudeau is the Bloc Québécois leader, Yves-François Blanchet, who turned 56 on April 16.

Even though Trudeau is the second-oldest of Canada's major political leaders at the federal level, he's quite a bit younger than U.S. President Joe Biden.

In fact, Biden is old enough to be the prime minister's dad.
