You Can Try Out Hundreds Of Mouthwatering & Unique Pizzas Across Canada This Week

La Pizza Week is here!

You Can Try Out Hundreds Of Mouthwatering & Unique Pizzas Across Canada This Week

Pizza has to be one of the most versatile dishes out there. You can dress it up with just about any kind of topping, fold it into a pocket or calzone and even turn it into a dessert with chocolate spread and fruit.

A slice makes a convenient snack, and a whole pie is the perfect sharing food for any social occasion (remember those?), from moving day to movie night. Even pineapple lovers and haters can put their differences aside with the genius invention that is the half-and-half.

So it's no surprise that after Le Burger Week and La Poutine Week comes the very first edition of La Pizza Week, presented by Saputo and delivered by SkipTheDishes. It's Canada's newest and biggest pizza festival aimed at celebrating our collective adoration for pizza while supporting local restaurants.

Between May 1 and May 7, you can visit La Pizza Week's website to find participating restaurants in your area and have their mouthwatering pies delivered right to your door. This is a great opportunity to support restaurateurs and sample exciting new toppings while you're at it. You can rate the pizzas you try and share your photos on social media using the hashtag #lapizzaweek.

La Pizza Week isn't just about indulging your pizza love; it's also going to benefit several good causes. Part of the proceeds from each pizza sold during La Pizza Week will be donated to local charities, including Community Food Centres Canada and Anorexia and Bulimia Québec.

Canada's pizza chefs have come up with a ton of creative combinations for the festival, like the mac 'n' cheese Pac Mac Pizza at Fast Fired by Carbone, the savoury Chicken Shawarma Pizza at Freddie's Pizza and Donair or the comforting Onion Soup Pizzacaccia with aged white cheddar at the 3 Brewers.

Some restaurants have even put together tasty dishes for people with dietary restrictions, like this Calzone di Papà from La Cale and this Lisa Simpson Pizza from Chez Zac Pizzeria, which are both vegan and made with delicious sundried tomatoes. You can even order Little Christos' Pear and Caramelized Sweet Onion Pizza with a gluten-free crust.

Whichever pizza catches your eye, just be sure to check that it's available in your area first. You can filter restaurants by location by clicking on "Find a Pizza" on the official website.

Whether you prefer seafood and veggies or pepperoni and chicken on your pizza, you're sure to find a new combination that you'll love during La Pizza Week.
