This Lotto Max winner scored a massive $50 million jackpot on a ticket that he bought while getting groceries for Thanksgiving!

After becoming a millionaire with Lotto Max over the long weekend, he actually went back to work on Monday just like normal.

Pierre Richer, who is a Montrealer, won the $50 million Lotto Max jackpot that was recently up for grabs, Loto-Québec revealed on October 12, 2023.

This massive jackpot was up for grabs in the draw on Friday, October 6, 2023, which also had two Maxmillions available to be won.

The Lotto Max winning numbers for the draw that won Richer the jackpot were 4, 17, 20, 23, 25, 27 and 41.

Richer was shopping at the Super C — which is a Quebec discount supermarket chain — on Boulevard Champlain with his daughter to get groceries for Thanksgiving dinner.

He also bought a Lotto Max ticket which ended up being the Lotto Max jackpot winning ticket for that draw!

Then, the day after the draw, Richer's spouse and daughter were on the Loto-Québec Lotteries app when they realized that one of his selections was the winning numbers for the $50 million jackpot.

His daughter actually screamed when she saw the win but everyone thought she'd seen a spider.

Even though Richer won $50 million over the Thanksgiving weekend, he still went back to work on Monday, October 9 just as expected at 4:30 a.m.

Richer, who's in his 60s, has a job in shipping and has been working for 40 years now.

This Lotto Max winner told Loto-Québec that he'll be taking some time off from work but he doesn't have any plans to retire soon.

Also, he's going to use his winnings to finally buy a house in Montreal.

Recently, a Lotto Max winner split the $70 million jackpot from the July 25, 2023 draw and told her husband she had "bad news" after finding out her winning ticket.

Just like Richer, another Lotto Max winner went to the store to buy a few groceries for his girlfriend and decided to get a lottery ticket.

That ticket ended up winning him the $55 million jackpot!

Lotto Max winners snagged a $60 million jackpot with the draw on March 31, 2023, and called the win a "miracle" that will change their family's lives for generations.
