If you're planning a trip to Quebec anytime soon and are concerned about not having a vaccine passport to visit all the touristy attractions, here's what you need to know.

Starting on September 1, the Quebec government is requiring proof of vaccination or a vaccine passport to attend non-essential events like going to bars, restaurants, festivals, sports arenas, and more.

In a statement to MTL Blog, the health ministry explained that "for the time being, people coming from other provinces or countries will be able to present official proof of vaccination issued by the province or country of residence, as well as a proof of identity with an address outside Quebec, in order to have access to the places and activities covered by the deployment of the vaccine passport."

According to the Quebec government, proof of two administered doses of Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, or Covishield is necessary, or one dose of Janssen.
