With rumours that a federal election might be called later this year, there are NDP Canada jobs available right now that you can apply for and if you get hired, you'll be part of Jagmeet Singh's team.

Seven new positions were posted to the federal party's career page on August 6, including online community manager, receptionist and national organizer for volunteers. The jobs — which are all based in Ottawa, although almost all are available remotely as well — have salaries that range from $52,000 to $62,000 a year.

Online Community Manager

Salary: $62,000

Who Should Apply: The NDP is looking for a tech-savvy organizer who's personable and motivated. For this job, it's required that candidates have excellent organization and communication skills, strong proficiency with social media like Instagram and TikTok, experience working with influencers and knowledge about social issues. It's also necessary to be comfortable making phone calls and talking to a lot of people, and have an understanding of online outreach related to getting out the vote.

Digital Content Copywriter

Salary: starting at $55,000

Who Should Apply: Someone with experience writing copy for a digital platform, experience working with a web CMS like WordPress or Squarespace, political judgment, and the ability to work irregular hours and possibly travel.

Knowledge of written French, Punjabi, Mandarin, or Cantonese, working knowledge of HTML, two years of work experience as a digital writer or copywriter, knowledge of policies, practices and structures of the NDP and campaign or election experience are considered assets.

Ottawa is stated as the preferred location for this job. However, travel and accommodations or remote, work-from-home arrangements are possible.

Who Should Apply: This job requires two or more years of experience working on a digital team, experience working with mass email and texting programs, proficiency with digital tools like Populus, CallHub, and ActionKit, and knowledge of social issues.

Who Should Apply: This position is for someone with excellent organization and communication skills who is comfortable making phone calls and talking to a lot of people.
