It might be the middle of winter, but it's never too early to start dreaming about warm days and sandy beaches. This stunning provincial park in Ontario has powdery shores and sparkling waves, and it's a majestic hidden gem.

Long Point Provincial Park is located in Port Rowan, a few hours from Toronto. Founded in 1921, it ranks as Ontario's fourth oldest provincial park.

It boasts silky sand shores and turquoise waves, making it a stunning spot for a summer day trip.

The park's 40-kilometre-long sandspit is straight off a tropical postcard, and there are over 2 kilometres of soft sand shores where you can take a dip.

Day use beaches can be found in the New Park as well as Cottonwood Campground in the Old Park.

There are also large beaches by Monarch's Rest and Turtle Dunes Campground.

Aside from swimming, the park offers 253 campsites, bird-watching opportunities and cycling.
