Ontario continues to see a significant spike in reported measles cases across the province.

According to the latest data from Public Health Ontario, 211 more measles cases were reported from April 29 to May 6, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 1,453 (1,260 confirmed, 193 probable) in 2025.

Ontario saw only 101 measles cases in the decade between 2013 and 2023, and last year, there were just 64.

The southwestern region of the province is still the hardest hit by the disease.
