COVID-19 Has Now Been Confirmed At 15 Different Ottawa Schools

Elementary and high schools have both been affected.

The numbers just keep climbing in the city. On Thursday, even more Ottawa schools confirmed new cases of COVID-19.

Four cases were reported at three different facilities on September 17, taking the total number of affected schools in the city to 15.

Both elementary and high schools have recently reported cases.

Different Ottawa schools have reported cases of COVID-19

Holy Cross Elementary School, Ecole elementaire catholique Saint-Remi and Ecole secondaire publique Louis-Riel all confirmed cases on Thursday. 

Another person at St. Leonard Elementary school was also confirmed to have contracted the illness.

51 schools across the wider province have now reported at least one case of COVID-19. 

On Wednesday, Fellowes High School in Pembroke became the first school in Ontario to shut down again due to an outbreak.
