Just days after some students returned to class, Ottawa Public Health (OPH) has confirmed multiple cases of COVID-19 in Ottawa schools.

Five different schools in the city have been listed by the health agency, per CTV News, including Laurier-Carrière Catholic elementary school and Sainte Anne Catholic elementary school. 

Saint François d'Assise Catholic elementary school, Roger-Saint-Denis Catholic elementary school and Collège Catholique Franco-Ouest high school have also reported cases of the illness.

Ottawa schools with COVID-19 cases

At this time, the source of each case has not been confirmed by OPH.

All of the affected institutions are part of the Conseil des écoles catholiques du Centre-Est (CECCE) school board.

Elementary school students in the board’s schools went back to class on September 3, while most high schoolers returned on Tuesday, September 8.

No official outbreaks have been confirmed at this time.
