These high-paying jobs have salaries of up to $129,000 a year!

You can work in conservation, visitor services, IT and other areas with these positions.

Some of the Parks Canada jobs don't require you to have a university degree.

There are openings in B.C., Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and the Northwest Territories.

Here's what you need to know about the high-paying jobs with Parks Canada if you want to apply.

Water/Wastewater Plant/Facility Manager

Salary: $78,909 to $99,200

Company: Parks Canada

Location: Wasagaming, MB

Who Should Apply: You must have a high school diploma.

Also, you need the following provincial operator certifications:

  • Level 2 water treatment
  • Level 2 water distribution
  • Level 1 wastewater treatment
  • Level 2 wastewater collection

Three years of experience in a supervisory role that included supervising staff and preparing and presenting reports and plans is required.

You also must have experience in:

  • managing, operating and maintaining Class II or higher systems and facilities (including water treatment and distribution, wastewater treatment and collection)
  • managing the implementation of small to medium-sized projects (including managing contracts, monitoring, reporting and performance evaluation)
  • working with computer software and programs such as SCADA, Excel, Word and email

It's required that you have knowledge of:

  • water and wastewater treatment systems and operations
  • water distribution and sewage collection systems
  • health and safety codes, standards, protocols and regulations related to drinking water supply and wastewater treatment

You must be able to:

  • manage the operations of a variety of systems, ranging from small water and wastewater systems to Class II or higher
  • write technical documents, statements of work and requests for proposals
  • troubleshoot and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on water and wastewater equipment

A valid driver's license is needed for this job.

  • CAA Avalanche Operations Level 2
