You can earn up to $129,000 a year and $41 an hour with these positions.
The federal agency that manages Canada's national parks, historic sites and conservation areas is staffing positions in B.C., Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Nova Scotia.

Manager, National Dispatch Program and Emergency Management Coordination Program
Salary: $113,185 to $129,417

Who Should Apply: You need a university degree in a field relevant to the position, or an acceptable combination of experience, training and knowledge in a field relevant to the position.
You must have experience in:
- operational, service-oriented program management
- managing human and financial resources
- providing strategic advice to management
- working and/or leading multi-functional internal and/or external working groups or committees
Also, you need to be able to plan, coordinate, monitor and evaluate the delivery of complex programs at a national level, provide expert technical advice on issues related to the national dispatch service, and manage human and financial resources.
You must have a valid Class 5 driver's license and be bilingual in English and French.
The ability to wear a Parks Canada uniform and personal protective equipment, work irregular hours, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays, and travel to various Parks Canada Agency sites is required.

Townsites and Realty Manager
Salary: $113,185 to $129,417

Who Should Apply: You need a university degree with a specialization in business, urban planning or public administration, or a combination of education, training and experience.
Also, you must have experience in:
- representing an organization within an intergovernmental relations context
- establishing, collaborating and maintaining partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- leading goal-oriented discussions/negotiations around complex issues
- administering realty, development, business license or similar processes

You need knowledge of:
- principles and practices of land use and administration

Who Should Apply: You need a degree from a post-secondary institution with specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or another relevant field.
But you can also get hired with a certification as a Chartered Professional in Human Resources or with a post-secondary degree and experience in human resources.
You must have experience in:
- providing advice and recommendations to management in HR disciplines such as staffing, labour relations, occupational health and safety, disability management, classification, or HR planning
- providing advice and guidance to managers in a unionized, operational environment
- managing competing priorities and deadlines in an operational environment
Also, knowledge of human resources framework, policies and processes in federally legislated work environments is required.

Salary: $84,427 to $95,993

Who Should Apply: You must have graduated from a two-year post-secondary program in a discipline relevant to the position, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
Also, you need experience in:
- collections management, curatorial or conservation
- researching period costume
- constructing clothing
- financial planning, budgeting and reporting
- working as part of a multidisciplinary team
You must have knowledge of:
- costume history and material culture research
- clothing construction, fitting and alteration
- traditional hand and machine manufacturing techniques
- textile fibres and fabric care
- heritage interpretation and curatorial best practices, including the effective use of period costume
This job requires moderate physical effort, including sitting and standing for prolonged periods and lifting and carrying a minimum of 25 pounds over short distances.

- conduct specialized material culture research
- manage the selection, acquisition and evaluation of reproduction costumes
- manage maintenance and tracking of a large stock of reproduction costumes

Who Should Apply: You need a combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the position or a minimum of two years of post-secondary education.
Also, you must have experience in:
- providing input for the planning, implementation or delivery of visitor services
- supervising staff, volunteers and/or students
- providing leadership, feedback and performance evaluations when supervising employees
- working with stakeholders and partners such as committees, cooperating associations, teachers, school boards, communities and Indigenous groups
This job requires knowledge of:

You must be able to stand, walk and hike for prolonged periods and work and/or travel in varied terrains, weather conditions, isolated locations and by various means of transportation.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Truck and Transport Mechanic
Salary: $37.85 to $41.12 an hour

Location: Radium Hot Springs, BC and Lake Louise, AB
Who Should Apply: You must be a Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician or a Truck and Transport Mechanic Certified Journeyperson. That occupational certification needs to be interprovincial or completed in B.C. or Alberta.
Also, you need experience in:
- the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty trucks and equipment
- the repair of diesel and gas-powered engines, including internal combustion engines, transmissions, suspensions, electrical, steering, braking, and drive systems
- the maintenance and repair of hydraulic systems
- the maintenance and repair of air brake systems
You must have knowledge of preventative maintenance principles, procedures and regulations, troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques, and health and safety policies and procedures.
The ability to read mechanical drawings, manage conflicting priorities, and work under pressure is required.
You need a valid Class 5 driver's license or its equivalent for this job.
Also, you must be able to do moderate to heavy physical tasks, including lifting supplies, tools and equipment, and standing for prolonged periods.
You must be able to wear identifier clothing and personal protective equipment, travel and/or work in a variety of weather conditions and terrain, and work irregular hours, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays, and be on call back or standby.
