Monsoon Rainfall Is Looking Pretty Bleak For Phoenix This Month

This is disappointing.
Contributor

As if 2020 couldn't get any worse, Phoenix weather this month is looking slightly dry as weather predictions expect rainfall to be below average in the Valley.

The National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center (NWSCPC) issued its 30-day forecast for August, and it's looking pretty grim for Arizonans.

According to the chart, most of the state will see a low chance of showers as the precipitation probability is estimated to be 50% below normal.

The National Weather Service explains that due to record heat and below-average rainfall, Arizona's "Moderate and Severe drought conditions have grown rapidly."

As of this week, bright and sunny skies are on the forecast, but you can remain hopeful for rain as the monsoon season isn't over just yet!
