The Always Pan from Our Place might be the most famous pan on the internet. Everyone around the world seems to love it so much that it often sells out and gets placed on backorder.

This Labour Day weekend, the company is offering daily deals so you can score your own Always Pan plus other popular products. For today only, you can get the Dinner For 4 Set for $250 (originally $385) which comes with a pan, four plates, four bowls and four glasses. You have to visit their website every morning to find out what the other deals of the day are.

Our Place

I was recently gifted the multi-functional pan ($195) to see if the hype is real. My significant other and I tested out the pan throughout the course of a week. We pan-fried, sautéed and steamed A LOT of our meals.

What I Liked About The Most The Product

I loved everything about this product — the minimalist design, its versatility, the built-in spatula rest, the convenient spout for removing liquid and the lid, too.

Where we really noticed the non-stick nature of the pan was when we fried eggs in the morning. This was one of the best features of the pan and I hope it continues long into the future.

Justyn Pellizzari

Aside from the product itself, another thing we liked was the packaging. Everything was biodegradable and we didn't need a pair of scissors to open the box because it has perforated edges. No cardboard cuts here!

What I Didn't Like About The Product

Despite the fact that there's a second smaller handle on the far side of the pan, it can't be used whatsoever when cooking because it gets very hot. I will give kudos for the warning label Our Place puts on it, but I don't get why the handle is there if it's not functional.

I wish the smaller handle on the other side of the pan was made in the same material as the larger handle, so both sides could be handled when cooking.

Would I Recommend This Product?

Heck yeah! If you're like us and have seen the ads all over Instagram and debated if it's worth buying, consider this a friendly nudge to go out and get one. It's the perfect long-term "adult" pan and the colour selection is impressive (you have eight to choose from). Ours came in Steam, a light gray, and the company just added a new one, Zest, which is a vibrant yellow.

There are obviously cheaper alternatives available, but considering its multi-purpose uses, the Alway Pan is unlike other pans on the market.

My overall rating:

Durham Region Mandated Contact Tracing For Social Gatherings & Hosts Can Get Hefty Fines

If you don't keep a list of your guests' info, you could potentially get in trouble.

If you're planning on having some friends over and you're living in the Durham Region (which is anywhere from Pickering to Whitby) there are some new rules that you now need to follow.

As of September 11 at 12:01 a.m., anyone who hosts a social gathering in the area — from homeowners, tenants, owners, and business operators — must conduct contract tracing of everyone who comes over. This means having a complete list of names and contact information of everyone who comes over (no matter how old they are) and holding onto that information for at least a month.

No more Team Moderna or Pfizer; the names of COVID-19 vaccines in Canada have been changed and the new ones are pretty strange.

On September 16, Health Canada announced that it has approved changes to the brand names of the Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca vaccines. Now, Pfizer is Comirnaty, Moderna is Spikevax and AstraZeneca is Vaxzevria.

An incoming spike in Ontario gas prices is sure to put a damper on anyone's plans to take one last road trip this summer.

Dan McTeague, gas analyst and president of Canadians for Affordable Energy, warned drivers in a tweet on Thursday that prices will rise by two cents tomorrow, bringing the total to 140.9 cents per litre in the GTA.
