I Tried Out The World’s First Self-Cleaning Water Bottle & Here’s What I Think

If you're not a fan of tap water, this splurge-worthy item can be a huge asset.

By now we all know that plastic water bottles = bad, reusable water bottles = good. But do you want to know what's even better? A reusable bottle that filters water on the go.

The LARQ Bottle PureVis ($125) is the world's first self-cleaning water bottle and water purification system. No matter where you are – whether you're backcountry camping or RV-ing across the continent – you'll have peace of mind knowing that your water is safe to drink.

I've been using the water bottle all week and so far I'm impressed. Drinking tap water isn't my number one choice and so the LARQ is like my own personal Brita. Plus, no more musty bottle smell!

What I Liked The Most About The Product

It's easy to use and quick to charge via USB. One charge can last up to two months. I just fill up the bottle with tap water and then let the UV-C LED tech do its thing. It doesn't remove any metals or fluoride but it does eliminate 99.9999% of harmful bacteria and viruses like E. coli and salmonella. I'm 100% packing this the next time I go on vacation.

Aside from the fact that these bottles clean themselves every two hours with the press of a button and keep water cold for up to 24 hours, they look straight up stylish AF.

You can buy the LARQ Bottle Movement PureVis for $99 in a bunch of fun colours like coral and pine, or the LARQ Bottle PureVis for $125 in Electro Blue, Himalayan Pink, Seaside Mint and more. The main difference between the two is that the Movement bottles are non-insulated bottles, so they won't keep your bevies cold.

What I Didn't Like About The Product

I'm chugging H2O all day, every day, so the only downside to the LARQ bottle is that's too small. I wish it came in a bigger size so I don't have to constantly refill it.

Would I Recommend This Product?

Safe drinking water is important to all of us. I respect the heck out of this brand for donating portions of sales to fund environmental nonprofits that strive to make clean drinking water more accessible to people around the world.

I can think of a dozen friends who would enjoy this product as much I do. Would they shell a hundred bucks for it? That's a question they'll have to answer themselves.

My overall rating:

LARQ Bottle

Price: $99-125

Details: As seen on Shark Tank, these are the world's first self-cleaning water bottles with instant water purification. You can take one with you the next time you're camping or just travelling abroad and hesitant about drinking tap water. It uses UV-C LED light to eliminate up to 99.9999% of odour-causing bacteria in just 60 seconds flat.
