This Year's Puppy Bowl Will Feature American Dog Royalty

Champ and Major want you to stay safe. 🐶
Contributor

Joe and Jill Biden's dogs, Champ and Major, have been living their best life in the White House, and now they're trying to spread some positivity at this year's Puppy Bowl.

The "first dogs," along with the first lady, will be making a virtual pre-recorded appearance at the event, asking everyone to stay healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The unconditional love from a dog is one of the most beautiful things on earth, and we owe it to them to keep ourselves healthy. Jill Biden

Jill Biden asks everyone to keep wearing their mask even when they're out walking their dog.

The Puppy Bowl is an annual event held every year on Animal Planet, and it features 70 dogs split into two teams, Team Ruff and Team Fluff.

The dogs then play a slightly unorganized but incredibly cute game of football, filled with many touchdowns and puppy penalties.

Major became the first shelter dog to ever live at the White House, making his appearance in this year's Puppy Bowl especially fitting, as every dog featured in the game is available for adoption.

The first lady and the first dogs are not the only celebrities making an appearance at the Puppy Bowl, as Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg will be hosting the 2-hour event.

The game will be held on Animal Planet on Sunday, February 7 at 2 p.m. EST.
