On Monday, June 21, an update was announced regarding the Saskatchewan reopening plan.

According to a news release from the province, "With more than 70 per cent of residents over the age of 18 having received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, the full implementation of Step 3 of the Re-Opening Roadmap will occur on Sunday, July 11."

The province has officially surpassed the vaccination threshold needed to fully reopen and on Sunday, July 11, the people of Saskatchewan can say goodbye to all public health orders.

This includes the mandatory masking order as well as the limit on event and gathering sizes. Though, the provincial government does say that business owners can still choose to put mask requirements in place if they want.

As for gatherings and events, while there won't be any formal mandates anymore, it is still advised to consider spacing and crowd control, continue enhanced cleaning procedures, and be aware of public health prevention practices.
