Simu Liu Hit Up His First 'Wild' Met Gala & Ended Up Apologizing To The Other Celebs

Simu Liu is all of us at a fancy occasion. 😅

Staff Writer

Even though he's and getting invites to the hottest Hollywood events, Simu Liu is still the same Sauga boy he's always been.

That was never more evident than in his Instagram post after he attended the Met Gala for the first time last night, where he apparently trod on a lot of famous people's toes — almost literally.

"It was a wild one," Liu wrote of attending the Met Gala for the first time. "I'm sorry to all the people whose dresses I stepped on. Please know that it was 100% on purpose."

"No I'm kidding really I'm so sorry I felt so bad," he quickly added, doing nothing to dissuade that particular Canadian stereotype.

While we're sure he was only accidentally treading on expensive fashion pieces, Liu is no stranger to going after other celebrities. He released a Ryan Reynolds diss track back in 2020, though that time it was raising money for charity!
