Bracebridge, located 2 hours from Toronto, is a hidden winter gem. Known as the "Heart of Muskoka," the small town transforms into a frosty wonderland each snowy season with skating, events and more.
On January 25, 2025, the town is hosting its annual Fire & Ice Festival.
The carnival transforms the downtown into a scene from Frozen and is complete with performances, fireworks and more.
You can enjoy a range of activities, including ice carving demonstrations, skating, axe throwing, mini putt and a lumberjack show.
One of the highlights of the event is the snow tubing hill which transforms the main street into a giant slide.
You'll want to bring your appetite, because there will be lots of dishes and treats to enjoy during the festival. You can roast marshmallows, indulge in a pancake breakfast, snack on popcorn and satisfy all your cravings at the food truck food court.
You can also relax in the '80s-inspired ski lodge at Bracebridge Hall.
