European vibes, quaint shops, cute cafes and snowy magic await at this adorable small town in Ontario. You'll feel as though you've taken a winter trip abroad as you soak up the old-world vibes and enjoy the charming attractions.

Perched along the shores of the Grand River, about an hour and a half from Toronto, this cozy village is a dreamy spot for a day trip or weekend getaway this winter.

Paris, Ontario is a quaint destination known as the "prettiest town in Canada," according to the website. It's also been dubbed the "Cobblestone Capital of Canada" due to the many cobblestone buildings and houses scattered throughout the area.

While it may not be home to the Mona Lisa or Eiffel Tour, the town still offers lots to do and enjoy.

You can spend a day exploring the charming downtown, which is lined with local boutiques and unique shops. You won't want to miss out on a visit to The Paris Wincey Mills Co., a year-round market hall with a variety of goods as well as a little cafe and eateries.

It isn't a winter adventure without a stop at a cute cafe, and The Dog-Eared Café is a cozy joint offering drinks, books, snacks and more. It was designed "in the tradition of European cafe models of old" so you can imagine you're overseas as you sip your latte.

Another great spot to grab a bite is Stillwaters! Plate & Pour or Juniper Dining Co.

You can enjoy the snowy season to the fullest by hiking or snowshoeing along the frosty trails near the town. The Cambridge to Paris Rail Trail is a popular destination and you can hike, snowshoe or cross-country ski through the glistening scenery.

With old-world vibes and cozy offerings, this small town near Toronto is worth a winter road trip.
