If a summer picnic sounds good, how about a free, fully catered picnic for 25, complete with local food, games and an oversized Canada-shaped picnic blanket?

Sobeys, proudly Canadian-owned and operated since 1907, has launched the So Canadian Picnic contest to bring people together with food, fun and community connection while celebrating everything that makes Canada unique.

Thanks to Sobeys, two lucky winners will each receive a grand prize hosted picnic for up to 25 friends and family — a fun, tasty and unforgettable summer experience where they won’t have to lift a finger.

Each prize includes an oversized, limited-edition Sobeys picnic blanket in the shape of the Canadian map, a professionally set-up picnic in a local park, backyard or community space near the winner’s residence, and a fully catered experience for up to 25 guests. The curated menu will feature Canadian-inspired food and seasonal favourites, including Compliments products, along with summer-themed activities.

In addition to the two grand prize winners, 30 more people will each receive a limited-edition So Canadian Picnic Kit. Filled with Canadian food items, including Compliments products, the kits also include a custom Canada-shaped picnic blanket and a picnic basket with a reusable cutlery set – everything you need to make your Canada Day or summer picnic extra special.
