Taylor Swift Is Clapping Back At A Netflix Show For A 'Deeply Sexist Joke'

"Happy Women’s History Month I guess."
Contributor

Taylor Swift was not exactly amused by a joke targeting her in the Netflix show Ginny & Georgia.

One of the characters of the show, which was released this year, attempts to make a joke about the pop star's love life, saying "You go through men faster than Taylor Swift," angering fans and even Swift herself.

Swift took to Twitter to explain her disappointment in the show, asking Netflix to "stop degrading hard working women."

Fans of the singer-songwriter were also enraged by the joke and they are even calling on the writers of the show to apologize for "slut-shaming"

Twitter users also point out a few shows that mention Swift in a "respectful way."

Narcity has reached out to Netflix for comment and we will update this story when we receive a response.
