Police in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., say they've charged a teenager in the alleged sexual assault of another minor.

Investigators say someone called 911 last Friday evening to report a sexual assault.

They allege a 15-year-old touched another youth without their consent while also touching themselves in a sexual manner.

Police say the two, neither of whom can be identified due to their age, know each other.

The accused has been charged with sexual assault on a person under 16.

Police say the teen was held in custody ahead of a bail hearing.
