It's time to dig out your flashlights! Greig's Caves in Ontario is a trip that will have you exploring limestone tunnels all day long. Located only a few hours away from Toronto, it's the perfect day trip.

Nestled in the gorgeous Bruce Peninsula, the site offers 10 different caves to immerse yourself in.

You can also go on a hike to look over the horizon while situated 300 feet above the Georgian Bay.

Make sure to bring comfy clothes and durable hiking boots with grip, because the caves can be slippery.

The company's website warns that the terrain is difficult, and can sometimes be steep when going uphill.

Open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the caves operate in rain or shine. The entrance fee is $10 and they only take cash.

Before heading out, the company asks that you bring your flashlights, as some parts of the cave system will require them.

The caves themselves are vast and majestic looking, with giant boulders and stones for you to make your way across.

The entry fee will give you all day to explore the caves and their surroundings.

According to the website, about 400 to 500 million years ago, the Bruce Peninsula was actually a shallow tropical sea with plenty of life including animals and corals.

It was an area that could be comparable to the present-day Great Barrier Reef in Australia.

After the water levels of the region completely dried up, caves and cliffs were formed there in their place.

After exploring the historic caves you can visit their picnic area, enjoy free parking, and take a hike through the forest.

You can also visit the areas popular Grotto, which looks just like the Cenotes of the Yucatan.
