COVID-19 cases are on the rise again in the United States, but the question of exactly how likely you are to encounter someone with the virus at a group gathering has long lingered throughout the pandemic.

But that question has finally been answered just in time for the holiday's thanks to a new map created by researches at Georgia Tech.

The map, known as the "COVID-19 Event Risk Assessment Planning Tool," allows you to pick out specific counties in the country and will show you the percentage of how likely you are to interact with someone who is COVID positive at an event.

10.6 Million Cases of COVID-19 in the United States

You can even put how many people will likely be at a gathering, and it will calculate the percentage based on that number and the county's current COVID case numbers.

Coronavirus cases have been increasing in most states across the country, with two states(Texas and California) surpassing the 1-million case mark.

The United States even reported 143,408 new cases of the virus Wednesday, breaking its own record for new cases in a single day according to the CDC.
