There's a cat on the loose in Toronto, and if you find him, you could find yourself $10,000 richer.

Amelia Maltepe posted the information for her missing cat Mika and for the reward on her social media accounts, noting that the cat was last seen in the Casa Loma area of the city.

"Mika ran out of the house this past Tuesday March 5th in the Casa Loma area," Maltepe wrote.

"If you see him, please take a picture (or video) and direct message me on Instagram right away and PLEASE DONT CHASE HIM," she continued. "Please follow him until we arrive, so we can capture him and bring him home safe."

According to CTV, Maltepe plans to raise the reward if the cat isn't found by Sunday.

"People have been very helpful in the neighbourhood," she told the outlet. "I don’t care about the money. I just want Mika back!"

According to Maltepe's response to users on her Instagram, Mika is a Savannah cat.

Savannah cats are characterized by their long, slender necks, triangular heads and large, wide ears that sit on top of their heads, according to Purina.

"A first-generation Savannah Cat can cost more than $20,000," notes the company. "The cost for later generations is much lower, but can still top $1,000."
