Located roughly one hour from the 6ix in Sharon, Ont., you’ll find The Sharon Temple National Historic Site And Museum.

The open-air museum features a number of historic buildings for you to admire and provides a look into the history of the Children of Peace in Canada.

In addition to all the exhibits, The Sharon Temple grounds are simply gorgeous, and they make an excellent spot for a picnic with your BFF.

According to the museum's website, this stunning spot is located on “the traditional lands of the Anishinabewaki, Huron-Wendat and Haudenosaunee peoples within a community that continues to be home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.”

At the time of writing, you’ll need to reserve a time slot for your visit.

This can be done online when you purchase your ticket.

Admission to this adorable place will cost you just $6, which is perfect if you’re looking for things to do on a budget. 

Currently, not every building on site is open to the public and you’ll need to wear a face mask inside the buildings that are open.

But honestly, just wandering around outside this dreamy castle seems like a good time to us.

The museum is open Wednesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. so you can start planning your royal picnic asap.
