Hiss! Police are warning the public to keep their eyes open for a missing snake in Niagara, Ontario. Officials are asking locals to steer clear of the animal, should they come across it.

Niagara Regional Police say the huge ball python was reported missing on Sunday, August 30, in Beamsville near Ashby and Hillside Drive.

If seen, police are warning people to keep a safe distance from the critter, and not approach it in any way.

Instead, residents of the area are being asked to contact the Humane Society immediately should they discover the sneaky snake.

This isn't the first time something like this has happened. There have been multiple incidents across the country involving pythons on the loose.
