At just before noon on Friday, a partial building collapse in London, Ontario sent multiple people to the hospital. Two people still remain trapped.

UPDATE: It has been reported that one of the five who were injured has died in hospital as of Friday afternoon.

EARLIER: A portion of a building under construction collapsed while workers were on site.

The City of London has published a press release detailing the incident.

According to the City, five people have been transported to a hospital, including one without vital signs.

Two more people remain trapped inside the rubble.

The Heavy Urban Search and Rescue (HUSAR) has been deployed to aid in the effort to free the remaining people trapped.

Residents are asked to avoid the area while emergency crews respond.

The situation is still evolving and Narcity will provide updates.
