The woman, who currently works at a location on Pape Avenue, is being praised for her spirit and ability to spread joy.
The fundraiser was started by Jason Schweitzer who has been served smiles and chicken by Emilia since he was a child in the '80s.
"There was a woman who would always say hello and make me laugh. I always asked my mother is the 'funny lady working today?'" he wrote.
"She always remembered who I was, most likely many of us. Emilia shows courage and commitment," he added.
The GoFundMe currently has its goal set at $20,000.
The money will reportedly be used to help Emilia "care for herself, pay bills, care for her health, rent / home payments and to continue being an amazing person."
"We all have been dealing with the challenges of Covid 19 being difficult. Let's all stay safe," states the fundraising page.
Last month, a similar fundraiser raised over $25,000 for a Toronto bar hit hard by COVID-19.
