Toronto's Nude Beach Was Unbelievably Crowded On Sunday (PHOTOS)

Another busy weekend at the beach in Toronto. Crowds flocked to Hanlan's Point Beach this weekend to make the most of the hot and sunny weather. Photos posted online show just how packed it got on the sandy shorelines.

Large groups at Toronto's only clothing-optional beach this weekend seemed to exceed the 10-person bubble rule currently in place in Ontario.

It's worth noting that stage three of Ontario's reopening plan currently allows outdoor gatherings of up to 100 people in Toronto.

The Toronto Island ferries are also operating at half capacity in order to prevent overcrowding.

However, from the photos shared this weekend, the size of the crowds still became large enough to make social distancing difficult.

There was even a live performance on Sunday. A group of musicians played for a small crowd of people on the beach. They brought along a speaker system, a microphone, and an acoustic guitar.

Hanlan's Point Beach stands as one of the few beaches in Toronto where it's currently safe to swim. High levels of E. coli have shut down the waters at Sunnyside, Woodbine, and Kew Balmy.

The City has ramped up its efforts to curb beach parties since the start of the summer. 

Illegal bonfires and fireworks are still taking place at spots like Marie Curtis Park despite parking bans and bylaw patrol. 

"The City has seen a significant increase in the number of people at Toronto beaches late into the evening," a City media relations rep said to Narcity.

Officers are issuing fines to people for various offences, including "not practising physical distancing, or who are lighting bonfires, setting off fireworks, drinking excessively and leaving large amounts of litter behind."

However, some outdoor areas have adapted their layout for social distancing in Toronto. After a warm day drew unprecedented crowds at Trinity Bellwoods Park in May, large white circles were painted onto the grass to keep people apart.
