Some Ontario Supermarkets Are Finally Easing Up On COVID-19 Measures

Longo's are allowing reusable bags, returns, and cash payments again.
Contributor

One provincial grocery chain is finally starting to loosen up, as Longo's' COVID-19 policies have got a makeover in its Ontario supermarkets.

The chain, which has stores in the GTA and Hamilton area, are now allowing reusable bags, returns and cash transactions, among other things, as of July 2.

Other service areas like deli meats, custom-cut steaks, baked goods, and cakes have also reopened.

But customers are still required to wear masks, and other health and safety procedures are still in effect.

This move comes just one week after Toronto and Peel Region, where Longo's has numerous stores, finally moved into stage two of the provincial reopening plan.
