New confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ontario

The recent increase is the second-highest daily count of the virus since July.

A pattern that Dr. David Williams, Chief Medical Officer of Health, told CP24 could be "concerning."

The province processed over 24,000 tests on September 1, bringing the total number of provincial assessments to 3,000,000.

Despite the spike in numbers, Ontario's active cases were reported to have gone down by 137.
