The provincial government is reporting over 2,000 new Ontario COVID-19 cases for the first time in nearly two months.

Christine Elliott, minister of health, revealed on Thursday that the province had 2,380 new cases.

However, 280 of these cases are due to a "data catch-up process."

This number is the highest the province has seen since January 30, when 2,063 cases were reported.

Earlier this week, Ford stated that he was "nervous" about a potential third-wave.
