A Tropical Storm Will Hit Ontario This Week With Thunderstorms & Strong Winds

Ontario is in for another messy, rainy week.

Residents hoping for beautiful weather this week are going to be stuck waiting. Remnants of Tropical Storm Laura are forecasted to sweep into the province this weekend, bringing all kinds of chaotic weather. Ontario's weather forecast is now calling for thunderstorms and strong winds.

According to The Weather Network, Ontario is going to see plenty of risk for a thunderstorm this week, starting on Tuesday.

While today’s storms will be mild for the most part, more severe storms are heading our way.

“A cold front moving in Tuesday will bring a bit of rain and the risk for thunderstorms in southwestern Ontario in the afternoon, though it all looks relatively mild,” reads a statement TWN.

“By Wednesday, there looks to be a fairly sharp boundary across southern Ontario, so we will see a very tight temperature gradient (extreme humidity across the southwest and cooler air coming in from the northeast). This could bring the threat for potentially severe storms,” it adds.

Thursday and Friday are expected to follow a similarly irregular pattern.

However, the worst of the storm is expected to hit on Saturday with heavy rains, strong winds, and thunderstorms all slipping into the forecast.

These storms will be caused by the moisture that will be heading into Ontario thanks to the tropical storm.

On a more positive note, we won’t be suffering these sweaty conditions for much longer.

After this weekend, Ontario is in for a bout of milder weather, with some of it even being described as fall-like.

Despite the hope for cooler weather, Toronto has been facing some serious heat this year.

It was so sweaty in the 6ix on Monday that it was hotter than Mexico City.
