Some great news to brighten your day. Toronto Raptor Oshae Brissett just announced the arrival of his baby girl. The Mississauga-raised athlete posted the first pictures of his newborn with a heartwarming caption.

"Ellai Aria Brissett. With everything that’s going on, the lord blessed me with the best gift possible. I promise to protect you forever," the 22-year-old wrote.

His post shows three sweet pictures of him holding baby Ellai and enjoying his time being a dad.

"I promise to be the best daddy ever," he writes.

His teammates extended their well-wishes and congratulations, including Fred VanVleet, who dropped a big ole' heart emoji in the comments.

VanVleet is also a dad to two little ones. He said his game actually got better with the birth of his son, even though he reportedly barely slept the first week.

The NBA is currently on hold until July, so Brissett can take the opportunity to enjoy extra quality time with his new daughter.

Earlier in the lockdown, Oshae Brissett's Tik Tok account got noticed for its hilarious content. The Raptors rookie also shared that he has been playing Fortnite during his time in lockdown.

Now, it looks like his daughter will be the centre of attention.

Other players such as Kyle Lowry have the cutest relationships with their kids, and they often are seen at the games.

Lowry has shared that his family loves living in Toronto and that they making plans to stay.

Seeing mini-me versions of the Raptors is truly heartwarming, as well as their reactions to the wins of their parents.

Oshae Brissett is a newcomer to the NBA. He played for the Syracuse Orange in college, before transferring over to Toronto's NBA G League team, the Raptors 905. He officially became a Raptor in July 2019.
