Trying to find a spot to park in Toronto can be a challenge, but what's worse is getting hit with a parking ticket.

According to an analysis from the Toronto Star published on August 9, these are the top ten hot spots where people were dinged with a ticket in 2020:

  1. North York General Hospital - 5,343 tickets;
  2. Bluffer's Park - 3,874 tickets;
  3. 19 Grand Trunk Cres. - 3,706 tickets;
  4. Humber Bay Shores Park - 3,183 tickets;
  5. York University - 3,152 tickets;
  6. Sunnybrook Hospital Bayview Campus - 3,106 tickets;
  7. 30 Grand Trunk Cres. - 2,841 tickets;
  8. 2183 Lake Shore Blvd. West - 2,742 tickets;
  9. 75 Queens Wharf Rd. - 1,998 tickets;
  10. 5 Valhala Inn Rd. - 1,923 tickets

The Star reports that the average cost for parking tickets came out to around $50.

In 2019, the City of Toronto apparently gave out 2.8 million tickets to drivers across the 6ix. Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre took the top spot with 8,232 tickets.
