A GTA Man 'Spiked A Woman's Drink' At A Restaurant After She Went To The Bathroom

Police believe there could be other victims.

Never leave your glass unattended. Peel Regional Police say that a woman had a close call after a GTA man spiked her drink while out for dinner. 

According to a release, the two were at a restaurant in the area of City Centre Drive and Square One Drive in Mississauga on October 22. 

When the woman excused herself to go to the washroom, the suspect was allegedly spotted pouring something into her drink.

Investigators believe that there could be more victims who have had contact with Nawaz. Peel Regional Police 

A nearby waitress witnessed what was happening, and was quick to tell the victim. 

Once caught, the man fled the scene in his Porsche. 

Police have now arrested 51-year-old Tariq Nawaz for the crime of administering a noxious substance.  

Investigators have reason to believe there may be other victims who had been in contact with the man.
