Durham Police Just Released Horrifying Video Of A Man Getting Shot In A GTA Driveway

Durham Regional Police (DRP) need help identifying the suspects involved in a daylight shooting in the GTA. They have released shocking footage of the incident to generate helpful leads from the public. The Pickering shooting video was posted by the DRP on YouTube on Tuesday.

The identities of four male suspects are being sought by investigators, who believe the group fled in a white vehicle after committing the crime.

The incident took place near Woodview Drive in Pickering on July 27, according to police. It is also believed that the crime was premeditated.

In the clip, the victim, whose image is blurred, can be seen running for his life in a driveway as the gunmen pulled up and opened fire from a white vehicle.

The vehicle then speeds away, but the shooters quickly return.

The victim, a 37-year-old man, was reportedly getting out of his car parked on his driveway when he was ambushed by one of them.

All four suspects were wearing masks to conceal their faces during the attack.

"The victim was struck several times and fell to the ground. The suspect vehicle then began to leave but returned when the victim was seen moving," an excerpt from the police news release reads.

"One suspect then walks up closer to the victim and fires several more rounds at him before returning to the white vehicle, which then sped away."

The extent of the victim’s injuries remains unknown. However, he was transferred to a Toronto trauma centre for emergency surgery. He remains in stable condition.

Anyone who may have helpful information is being asked to contact Det. Hawkes (ext. 2528) or Cst. Chrzan (ext. 2565) at 1-888-579-1520.

This isn't the first broad daylight shooting to occur in the Toronto area in recent months.

In May, Toronto rapper Houdini lost his life when he was gunned down while walking in the King Street West area.
