Scotiabank Arena Set To 'Return To Normal Operations' In Coming Months With New Rules

The arena became the first in Canada to receive a WELL Health-Safety rating.

Toronto sports fans rejoice! The Scotiabank Arena has officially become the first Canadian sports arena to receive a WELL Health-Safety rating.

The rating, which approves COVID-19 efforts made by owners and operators of entertainment venues, is a big step forward for the arena's "Back In Action" plan.

Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) announced in a press release on Monday that it is now planning for a return to "normal operations" in the coming months.

Of course, it won't be business as usual, with one of the biggest changes being that all tickets to Scotiabank Arena events will be exclusively digital.

Fans will reportedly need to scan their tickets on their mobile devices as part of a new contactless experience.
