Toronto has just announced it is opening up thousands of new COVID-19 vaccine appointments over the next two weeks at City-run clinics.

There will be 30,000 vaccine appointments opening up for booking on Friday for appointments during the week of June 21, according to the City's latest announcement.

On Monday, 60,000 more appointments will open for the week of June 28, for a total of 90,000 vaccine dose appointments scheduled for the rest of June.

The City reveals that only those who are 18 years old or older are eligible to book these appointments, as the extra vaccine supply will be Moderna.

Since Toronto is considered a hot spot for the Delta variant, the city is pushing its doses to about 125,000 administered each week starting June 22. Several pop-up clinics opened up in the east end earlier this week, which permitted walk-in appointments for both first and second doses.

Anyone looking to book an appointment can do so by making an appointment at one of the several City-run clinics, as walk-ins will not currently be taken at these locations. Torontonians can book these appointments on Toronto's COVID-19 site, or can also call 1-833-943-3900.
