Protestors are swarming Toronto Police Headquarters demanding budget cuts and sweeping changes to the institution.

The rally was put together by No Pride In Policing Coalition and it began at noon, with speakers from Not Another Black Life and multiple other organizations.

During the protest, a list of demands was displayed at the headquarters. It included disarming and finding other alternatives to policing.

A sign was also spotted at the protest reading, "Defund abolish all police."

While No Pride In Policing Coalition is calling for a 50% budget cut, Toronto City Council members recently voted against defunding the police budget by 10%.

This came after weeks of protests and calls to defund policing and allocate funds to mental health services.
