There's now a new reason to treat yourself to a dinner out! On Thursday, Canada's 100 Best Restaurants released its sixth annual list of the top places to eat across the country. Out of the 100 venues, 30 can be found in Ontario, including the number one ranked. It's time to make a reservation because Toronto's best restaurant is the top one in Canada.

It's no secret that our province boasts some amazing places to eat. You can find so many diverse dishes and atmospheres to enjoy.

Canada's 100 Best Restaurants, an annual publication, has just announced the 2020 list of top spots to dine from coast to coast.

Many of these restaurants and bars can be found in Ontario, including the place ranked number one.

Alo, a Toronto venue hidden away on the third floor of a warehouse, was top of the list for places to eat.

The restaurant is known for its extensive tasting menus, serene atmosphere, and French cuisine.

Next on the list for Ontario is Langdon Hall. Coming in at number four, this dreamy hotel and spa serves meals with fresh ingredients harvested from its gardens.

Some of Ontario's top venues have just recently opened, including Sushi Maskai Saito in Toronto, which was named Best New Restaurant 2020.

Another new spot is Alice in Ottawa, which features a vegetable-focused tasting menu.

The rankings come from a national panel of over 100 judges who submitted their top 10 dining experiences of 2019.

The publication is being released as venues begin to reopen across the country. You can find the complete list of places here.

Treat yourself to something other than your home cooking by visiting one of these top spots across Ontario.
