On Wednesday, the City of Toronto announced the launch of its VaxTO campaign, which is meant to help every resident get a COVID-19 vaccine.

In a press release, it was revealed that the campaign would be launched in three steps and will use texts, emails, voice broadcasts and social media advertising to help give Torontonians more information about when and how they can get vaccinated.

The first phase, which is already underway, will mainly be to encourage all residents to book their first dose. The second phase, which is set to start in mid-June, will target neighbourhoods that have a low vaccination rate.

The final phase, which will start in July, will target Torontonians who have yet to get their first dose.

On top of this, the City also launched a hotline where residents can get more information about COVID-19 vaccines. Starting today, those who text "VACCINE" to 1-833-750-0888 will be able to access resources about how to book an appointment and other information.
